Regarded as being one of the most beautiful cities in the United Kingdom, Norwich boasts a number of stunning medieval era buildings and is set in a relaxing rural landscape that makes it an ideal location for a peaceful holiday. Norwich Castle and Cathedral are popular with tourists, as is the Cow Tower, the Forum, and the large outdoor market. Situated as it is in East Anglia, Norwich is connected to London via Cambridge and the A11 and M11 networks. Norwich has two airports in close proximity, Norwich International and London Stanstead, which make European and domestic travel quite easy. Train connections to London are also frequent. Accommodation is easy to come by as the town is a known tourist hot-spot. National hotel chains are in abundance, as are smaller bed and breakfasts and a few back-packing hostels. The surrounding countryside also offers the chance of rural retreats and cottage hire.
